General Committee Inquiries:
Area Captain responsibility is to be liaison with the individual gardens and the garden captains. They interact with garden captains primarily and help resolve any issues. The area captains are part of our main committee and attend meetings. They deliver the flowers to the individual gardens on all planting days before 8:00AM. They help load trucks with flowers on the Friday before planting day, get the instruction sheet ready with waste bags to be distributed to the areas come Saturday morning. At times, gardens will be planted on another day, if that’s the case, the adoptee will make arrangements with their area captain (keep flowers, when they will pick them up, etc.) They are to check to make sure that the gardens have been planted or plan to be planted on day of planting and call the garden captain if it hasn’t been done. Make sure the flowers aren’t left for more than two days! Before season begins, contact the adoptees of their area to see if they will be adopting again. |
